It was a cold and windy day in the suburbs so why not go-karting! That’s what 14 club members along with family and friends did on March 17 at K1-Speed Racing.
The first 12 laps were practice laps but you could tell the competition was on. The second round of 14 laps was the qualifying laps. There was a couple of “bumped” walls but no pile ups this year! Competition was fierce with two “kids” competing against their dads! The final round brought out the racers that wanted to win! And two “kids” or young guys, Tyler and Adam, took 3rd place in their groups beating their dads! Watch out racers! This year one of those young guys is going to compete with you in the autocrosses!
After the racing was complete some awards and trophies were given out to the best of the best. We then headed over to the grill for lunch where the winners exercised their bragging rights and talked strategy.
Everyone had a good time and even stated they would love to see this added as a yearly event!
