Fall Cruise October 5-, 2024

Our last cruise of the year, the fall cruise, ended on a high note with lots of laughter and good times!  We had a total of 20 members attend this event.  We started out meeting at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells on a Friday night and went for pizza at the Moosejaw Pizza in the Dells.  Saturday morning we were up early and started our one hour journey to the Wetherby Cranberry Farm in Warrens, WI.  We all loaded a school bus and journeyed back to where the ...

NWSRA Charity Car Show fundraiser July 20, 2024

A  very big THANK YOU to everyone who brought vipers and made donations to the NWSRA at the car show on July 20th. We had 32 vipers and 2 viper trucks in a large variety of colors and models with folks traveling from Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. You really saw the comradery in the viper family. Participants and car show visitors were able to take a picture on the red carpet in Bill Gueli’s 2003 SRT Viper. We started our day by meeting at the Belvidere Oasis on I-90 West and travel to the Historic Auto Museum in Roscoe, ILThe museum is more than cars, there is 80,000 sq ft of exhibits including the world’s largest collection of Presidential and World Leader’s Limousines, a collection of Gangster Era vehicles, Elvia Presley display and memorabilia, TV Land cars and cars from hit movies, WW2 artifacts including uniforms, maps, swords, etc. The exhibits are changed on a regular basis. Pekin Avanti's Dome Autocross June 23,2024

Our first autocross for 2024 turned out to be a beautiful day. Weather was about 84 degrees with a nice breeze to keep folks cool. We had a light turnout of members participating which those that were coming and did not come really missed out on a nice course and day of fun and visiting with fellow members and friends. Our first road course of the season turned out to be a beautiful day at Autobahn in Joliet. Folks started arriving about 7:30 to unload trailers and for a drivers meeting at 8:15. The track went hot at 8:30. Everyone had the opportunity to run 5 or 6 30 minute sessions. We had a little lighter Viper crowd this time with about 15 drivers . Lunch was about 11:30  with the sessions resuming after lunch. We wrapped up about 3:30 with trophies being awarded at 4:00. A great time with great friends.
