We started out with a pit stop along the way to grab some lunch and fuel in Greensburg, Indiana, where the Studemann's from Michigan joined us. (They live in Michigan and belong to the Illinois Region). We left there at 3:00 to go to our next stop which was the "Creation Museum." It was very interesting and we were able to spend a couple of hours there before leaving at 6:00 to get to our hotel for the night. After freshening up, we walked to an Italian restaurant and enjoyed a great meal.

The next morning we were up early and had a short drive to the "Ark Encounter." After spending a few hours there and enjoying some lunch, we departed the Ark for Bowling Green, Kentucky. Along the way, we had a bit of a mishap with one of our members' cars. Joe Bussie's viper lost all of its coolant and we were unable to make the necessary repairs. He ended up having to have the car flat bedded to a local Dodge dealer, where he had to leave it for the rest of the trip. Fortunately, Jeff Enslow had an open seat so Joe was able to finish the cruise and will have to go back to Kentucky to retrieve his viper after it is repaired. After we arrived at the hotel and had a break to freshen up, we made the short walk to the restaurant known as Roosters. After a great meal we retired to the hotel. The next morning we met in the parking lot and made the short drive to the Corvette museum. We spent a couple hours at the museum, which was a very nice place to visit and learn all about Corvette. We saw some cool cars and even the cars that were destroyed in the sink hole mishap. After the Corvette museum, we took a short drive to the Rail Museum. We learned some interesting things about trains before we headed to lunch at a place called "Mammaw's Kitchen." This place was very rustic with open air dining in a barn overlooking the farm and served by the nicest folks you could ever meet. Vittles prepared in true country fashion and the food was fantastic. After we left there a young businessman asked us if we would stop by his car wrap/tire shop and let him get a few photos of the Vipers in front of his shop. This was just another example of the VOA helping out a new young business. After that, we were off to Brown County Inn in Nashville, Indiana, where we were in for the night. The next morning, folks had a couple hours to shop in the quaint little town before we did a driving tour of Brown County State Park for a nice winding drive looking at all the colors of the season. We even ended up having an impromptu photo op at a covered bridge. After the cruise through the park, we started back home, stopping for lunch halfway and then back to Illinois.
